The official touring ensemble pairs live music with anime footage. Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto supervise the production rather than appearing in person. Listen for the way rhythm, silence and dynamics change the emotional weight of familiar scenes. Choose a session that fits your travel plans and check sightline notes before selecting seats; a good view of the screen may matter as much as proximity to the stage. This is a 2027 concert preview, included alongside the 2026 festival roundup.

The twentieth-anniversary edition spans indoor shows, outdoor events and workshops. Jazz Right All Star Band and pianist 許郁瑛 are among the announced highlights. New listeners can follow one instrument and notice how the others answer it, rather than worrying about recognizing every composition. Leave room between performances to travel and talk about what you heard. The city format makes an after-work visit as appealing as a full weekend outing.

Sunset Rollercoaster, Bestards, ano and coldrain are among the announced acts. A multi-stage festival is an opportunity to leave some listening choices open: pick your must-see sets, then let friends introduce you to unfamiliar music. Consider food breaks and the journey back as part of the plan. Check the designated picnic-zone rules before bringing equipment, and choose a one- or two-day ticket based on the pace you actually want.

PASIWALI centers Indigenous music and cultural exchange. It is an invitation to explore voices and languages beyond your usual playlist, with experiences beyond the stage too. You need not understand every lyric to notice rhythm, expression and interplay. Save unfamiliar artists to explore after the trip. This guide does not reuse older lineups as current announcements; check the new timetable when planning your stay.

The announced lineup included Matzka, Ailing Tai and SAYA, alongside other artists and the Taipei Indigenous Choir. Solo voices and choral arrangements offer different ways to hear the same emotional territory. This entry preserves a summer event in the annual roundup. Explore the artists’ recordings while waiting for future announcements, and do not assume next year will use the same dates, venue or lineup.

Island Life Festival: music and sea air on Heping Island

Venue:Heping Island Geopark, Keelung

Dates:September 19–20, 2026 · Ended

Times:Waterfront stage: 18:00–20:00 on both days, with an opening ceremony on the first.

Waterfront music, picnics and a market created a different pace from a packed festival schedule. Four Pens and Billowmutt were among the performers. This is a useful example of choosing a few sets while leaving time to sit and talk with friends. The edition has ended; admission prices here are historical, and a park ticket should not be assumed to cover every optional experience.

Dong! Take Me Away is a Taitung County music brand built around participation. Its 2026 theme, “Let’s Sing in Taitung,” turned the seaside park into a giant outdoor KTV, with lyric screens, an extended stage, DJ transitions and interactive moments. Instead of asking audiences to discover unfamiliar bands, it invites people of different ages to share a chorus everyone already knows.

The two-day lineup crossed Taiwanese classics, Mandarin pop, R&B, soul, rock and Indigenous music. Day one featured Lo Shih-feng, Sam Lee, Maggie Chiang, Andrew Tan, Lin Hsiao-pei, BOXING, Huang Fei, PONAY and Power Station. Day two brought Shin, Princess Ai, YELLOW Huang Hsuan, 9m88, Nicky Lee, A-Fun, Valen Hsu and Alex To. Hsu returned to a large public performance after years away, while To made his Taitung debut and closed the second night.

Large lyrics and the extended stage made it easy to sing along, while water effects and fireworks connected the music to a seaside summer trip. The 2026 edition ended on September 13; it remains here as a distinctive example in the national festival guide. Future editions should be checked from the organizer’s new announcements rather than assumed to repeat this schedule.

A curated selection, not an exhaustive calendar. “Next year” means 2027. Status reflects September 22, 2026; verify schedules and ticket availability with organizers.
