Terms of Service

01Agreement and eligibility

These terms govern your use of the jeojeo mobile app, website, and related services operated by Jeojeo Co., Ltd. (“jeojeo”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If local law requires parental consent, you may use jeojeo only with that consent.

02Your account and license

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use jeojeo in accordance with these terms. You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping access to your Google or Apple sign-in account secure.

You may not:

• Use the service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm, threaten, harass, impersonate, or invade another person’s privacy.
• Publish content you do not have the right to use, or content that is illegal, abusive, deceptive, or infringes intellectual-property rights.
• Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or use automated access except where the law does not permit that restriction.
• Sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.

03Location and safety

jeojeo uses precise location to display the map, determine active jeos, control playback, create routes and place summaries, and build Lookback. Location and map information may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Stay aware of your surroundings, obey traffic and property rules, and do not use the service in a way that distracts you while driving or creates a safety risk. jeojeo is not an emergency, navigation, or safety service.

04Your content

You keep ownership of content you create, including jeo and jeojeo names, descriptions, routes, shapes, and Lookback text. You grant jeojeo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the service. The license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained in backups for a limited period or already shared outside jeojeo.

Content marked public may be discovered, searched, saved, and shared by others together with its location and your profile identity. You are responsible for choosing an appropriate visibility setting and for the content you publish.

05Music and third-party services

Music search and playback depend on Spotify and may require an eligible Spotify account, app, subscription, and device. Google, Apple, Google Maps, and other third-party services may also apply their own terms and privacy policies. Tracks, artwork, availability, playback behavior, and linked services can change or stop without notice. jeojeo does not grant rights to music or third-party content beyond the rights provided by their owners.

06Disclaimer

The materials on jeojeo are provided on an ‘as is’ basis. jeojeo makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

07Moderation and termination

We may investigate, restrict, remove, or preserve access to content, and may suspend or terminate accounts, when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users or the service, respond to legal requests, or address security risks. You may stop using jeojeo at any time and may delete your account through the app or our account deletion page.

08Changes and general terms

We may change the service or these terms. We will post revised terms, update the date, and provide additional notice when required. If a change materially affects your rights, it applies prospectively after the stated effective date. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, or sale.

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction over Jeojeo Co., Ltd. in Taiwan will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
